He's God the Whole World in His Hands

Walking in the Word

25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”  Luke 21:25-28

Responding to the Word

I often look at the sunrise and sunset and think of the Glory of God.  The beauty and power I see in nature testifies to His great nature.  What will I be doing when He returns?  What will you be doing when He returns?  Sometimes the world around us looks pretty scary.  Hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis and droughts just to name a few.  It seems like things are getting a little worse by the day.  But don't fear, God has a plan.
It's much easier to love and trust God when everything is going well.  But what happens when things "don't" go well?  Do you still trust Him?  The Bible says that we can because we know the One who holds tomorrow in His hand.  Lift up your heads, because your redemption (the Lord Jesus Christ) is coming again.

Praying through the Word

Father, it's seem like I see Your hand moving in more and more ways everyday.  I ask that you guard our hearts against fearing tomorrow before tomorrow comes.  Help our faith to grow stronger each day and allow us the joy in sharing your Message with a lost and dying world.  In Jesus' Name, Amen
